My non-resolutions for 2014!
Yes, this year is my year. I am going to be 40 in May... oh my, yes, I said 40. I plan to be fabulous at 40! In order to be fabulous, I have some changes to make. I got derailed from some of my goals in 2013 and it's time to claim my life again. No more excuses!
Cook for myself 4-5 days a week:
I am a horrible planner, so I am not going to be making food prepping goals yet, but I will cook for my family 5 nights a week unless there is a school or sporting event that gets in the way of this.
Get out of Debt:
I will budget monthly. Each month I will have cash that I am allowed to spend on gas, groceries and fun. I will save money each month and use it to pay off debt. Any extra money from jobs will go in savings for an emergency.
Get to the Gym or get a run in 5 times a week:
There is really no excuse for not doing this. I will do this and I will post about those workouts to keep myself accountable.
What are you goals? Do you set goals or make resolutions??
These are all great goals Mindy. It sounds like you have a plan to help you achieve them all.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie! I hope so! Cheers to you!!
DeleteI set goals. Mine will be up on the blog tomorrow, but it is also a big year for us. =)
ReplyDeleteCheers to a successful and happy 2014.
DeleteHappy new year youngster! :) I need to get out of debt too & way older than you so you are ahead of me!
ReplyDeleteNo resolutions.. just step by step trying to get to a better place in life.. :)
Love it! Cheers to 2014!
DeleteI love cooking for myself, so much so that sometimes I just don't ever want to go out to eat, LOL! It's funny to me to think about people who go out to eat too often, lol! ;) Happy New Year - good luck with your goals!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's embarrassing that I don't. Being a single mom, it's turned into just getting us both what we want. A lot of times it's chicken from the grocery store or something, but I know that I will eat better if I spice things up a bit. Good luck with your goals too.
DeleteHey now! I love that grocery store chicken - ;) Sometimes I crave the chicken off the salad bar so much that I have to make a stop even when I am not planning on driving in that direction! LOL!
Deletehaha! Okay good... I am not the only one then. :) I plan on doing a better job with this though this year!
Deleteneither.
ReplyDeletebut Im still.....working my glutes off for change :-)
You are amazing! Whatever you are doing, it's working! Keep it up!
DeleteI set goals. Not resolutions. My goals have deadlines. I love accomplishing them:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Cheers to a successful 2014!
DeleteGood luck! My biggest goal right now is to get myself out of bed earlier in the morning so I have some extra time for whatever other goals I decide to set.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome Lisa! I love that idea!!! Cheers to a great 2014!
DeleteI love that you called these non-resolutions. I really dislike that word. This is a great list and I wish you the best of luck in 2014!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait to watch you achieve your goals too! It's going to be a great year!
DeleteAn early welcome to the "40's" my friend. I am not a meal planner either, I am awful at it, however I always shop fresh so I have many ingredients available in the house to whip up whatever we feel like or sounds good. :) I am not a "resolution" fan myself, I prefer the word "goals"..Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteI hear you. I turned 42 in October, and I'm not much of a menu planner, either. I just bought a frame to make a dry-erase menu planning board — and managed to follow my plan all day today. Now, to keep it up.
ReplyDeleteSure sounds like you got this year sorted! I haven't made any resolutions for 2014 and I am not really sure I want to. Like you, I am pretty bad at planning things out, but good at getting my butt in gear when I need to, so I think this year I will forgo the resolutions thing and avoid disappointing myself (when I fail to follow through) and just give 2014 hell instead!
